Safiyah Rafatjah's medical practice license
The text reads: "According to the law passed on June 1, 1911, since the lady Dr. Safiyah Khanum Rafʻatjah, daughter of Mirza ʻAbd Allah Khan, citizen of Iran, has graduated from the Public Health School of Moscow, she is allowed to practice medicine in Iran." The note on the verso reads: "the word 'doctor' is not an addition [and is part of the text]." Signed by Habib Allah Muzaffar. Recorded in the Office of Health in Tehran Municipality. Recorded in the new office of physicians. Issued from the Office of Municipality on January 9, 1934.
